Starting in1981 Tracey McAlister studied and worked with an extremely talented group of Vidal Sassoon professionals including Tim Hartley, the international creative director, and Annie Humphrey's in colour and technical research. Further instruction from art directors Mark Hayes, Christopher Brooker and promotions coordinator Mitch Barry led to Tracey’s expert development in technique, control, and the understanding of clients needs. Tracey worked with the Vidal Sassoon team in London, New York, Chicago, L.A. and San Francisco for an outstanding ten years as a stylist and an educator, setting up training programs and teaching the disciplines of precision cutting and a modern approach to style. Tracey has cut and styled hair for photo shoots, demonstrations, and floor shows.
Tracey then took on a new position as a stylist with a salon called Architects & Heroes. From there, she collaborated with two other stylists, Louise Baranowski and Skip Cathey to form a new salon, Cowboys & Angels.
Tracey is a fabulous success as a salon owner, educator, and creative director. She has been recommended highly in some magazine's including Self and Allure.
